The FlexiTrunk Microwave system processes native Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) and native IP signals and transports them independently over the air without any type of mapping (e.g. neither Ethernet-over-TDM or TDM- over-Ethernet).
The same hardware transceiver can be selected by software as a native TDM or native IP device, allowing smooth, carrier-by-carrier, software-definable migration from legacy SDH networks to hybrid SDH/IP and to all-IP on the same hardware platform while conforming to international communications standards such as ITU-T, ITU-R and ETSI.
