Network Management & Planning
Network providers are facing the challenge of building efficient Transport systems capable of supporting a vast amount of diverse services and delivering the best quality of service, while maximizing efficiency, network scalability and flexibility.
Nokia Siemens Networks supports network providers with the essential tools to achieve these goals – SURPASS TransNet and SURPASS TransConnect.
SURPASS Trans-Connect is designed to support the special needs of the operations departments. SURPASS TransNet is designed for the enhanced needs of network planning departments. Both tools interwork with each other seamlessly.
SURPASS Transnet is the Nokia Siemens Networks software tool for the planning and optimizing optical transmission networks based on SURPASS hiT7500 and hiT7300 transport solutions. The SURPASS TransNet optical network planning tool supports the complete planning and installation process of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks, including con-figuration, upgrade, optimization, ordering, commissioning and network maintenance.
SURPASS TransConnect is the software solution for simplified planning, ordering and installation of channel upgrades/downgrades in SURPASS hiT 7500 and hiT 7300 Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks.
